We had a June bride this year. Her wedding was also the biggest wedding we’ve handled so far. There were 200 guests and the couple shared that it was a challenge in cutting back the guest list. The couple has lots of family and friends who were all excited for their union. Who wouldn’t when it took them 11 years before deciding to tie the knot?

The biggest challenge with this wedding is the short preparation time. We barely have 4 months to find and book the right suppliers. Thankfully, the wedding went well with minor glitches. What’s even more important is how happy the bride and groom were.

Here are the suppliers we’ve worked with for this wedding:

Preparation Venue: MJ Land Resort, Quezon City

MJ Land Resort is located in near Novaliches Quezon City. The place is nice and affordable but this is not the best place for a prep venue if the ceremony will be in Tandang Sora. During the event, some members of the entourage were late for the call time in the church.

This place is not recommended if the ceremony venue is an hour away esp. with the current traffic situation in Quezon City. But in terms of affordability and facilities, this place is perfect for couples who are getting married around Novaliches and near SM Fairview.

Ceremony Venue: Santuario de San Vicente de Paul, Quezon City

The church is lovely with all the glasses surrounding the front facade of the church. This is ideal for big weddings such as this wedding. Because this church is beautiful, it’s hard to book a date so if you’re considering this place, better book this place early on.

However there are two things that we think is a ”weakness” of this church. First, because it’s a big church, the acoustics is not very good. Whatever the priest and the couple are saying comes out echoing. Another thing is the staff of the church. The assigned person from the church was difficult. During the event some of the members of the entourage were late and she was insisting that we start without them. She was also very insistent that we finish ASAP because they have a choir practice for a mass the following day. She was the one who stressed the people out and she was making a scene. It just seems so inconsiderate.

Reception Venue: Blue Gardens Events Place, Quezon City

Blue Gardens is a lovely covered garden in the heart of Quezon City. It’s accessible from Commonwealth Avenue amidst a quiet neighborhood. It has built a good reputation as an events place. For couples wanting a garden-ambiance without worrying about the weather, Blue Gardens is the perfect events place.

Caterer: Josiah’s Catering

Josiah’s is Josiah’s. They’ve been in the business for the longest time. They know what they’re doing. They’re mastered the art of food service.

Photo and Video: CA Productions

CA Productions is one of the best photo and video team I’ve worked with. They are a team of creative and imaginative photographers and videographers. They have a way of capturing images that evokes various emotions. They’re highly recommended.

(They’re not QC-based. They’re based in Taytay but no out of town fees for weddings in QC.)

Hair and Make-Up Artist: Mike Diangca

Mike Diangca’s team transformed the bride and the entourage to a a more beautiful versions of themselves. His team beautifies without totally transforming faces to unknown people. Highly recommended for people who wants a natural-looking make-up.

Host: Nadine Smith

This is the third time we had an event with Nadine Smith. As always, she’s a superb host who can handle a crowd. She’s a pro!

(She’s not QC-based but no out of town fees for weddings in QC)
